Russia launches Iskander missile, 133 drones at Ukraine

Russian forces launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile from occupied Crimea and 133 attack drones at Ukraine overnight into Feb. 24 on the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion, with air defenses downing or suppressing 111 drones and hits confirmed at 16 sites, Ukraine’s Air Force reported.
Drones — including about 80 Shahed models along with Gerbera, Italmas and others — were fired from Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Millerovo in Russia.
Air defenses — involving fighter aircraft, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups — countered the assault across northern, southern and eastern regions. Debris from downed targets fell at one location.
Several Russian drones remained in Ukrainian airspace as of morning, the Air Force warned.
In Zaporizhzhya, at least six Shahed strikes injured five people, including a child.
One drone hit an industrial building near a nine-story apartment block, sparking a fire that damaged homes and vehicles.
