Earlier, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces

in the Kupyansk district.
Situation in Kupyansk
On Nov. 13, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces
reported that Russian occupiers tried to breach Ukraine’s defenses in the
Kupyansk direction. Russian assault groups attacked Ukrainian positions in four
waves.
Some Russian soldiers were dressed in Ukrainian Armed Forces
uniforms, which violates the laws and rules of war and constitutes a war crime.
On Nov. 14, Andrii Biesedin, head of the Kupyansk
military-civilian administration, said that a Russian airborne unit that had
broken into the left-bank part of Kupyansk on Nov. 13 had failed to secure the
area and was destroyed.
Meanwhile, Oleksandr Kovalenko, head of the Center for
Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council,
stated that as of the morning of Nov. 14, the situation in Kupyansk was under
control by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted
that Russian occupation forces had ramped up offensive operations near Kupyansk
over the past two months.
On Nov. 15, Captain Yurii Fedorenko, commander of the 92nd
Brigade’s unmanned aerial systems battalion “Achilles,” reported that Russian
occupiers had advanced to the residential areas of the left-bank part of
Kupyansk, taking advantage of weather conditions.
On Nov. 26, DeepState analysts reported that Ukraine’s
Defense Forces had completed the clearance of the city of Kupyansk.
Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational
Strategic Group, also noted that Ukraine’s forces had pushed Russian troops
away from Kupyansk, stabilized the situation on the city’s approaches, and
continued to maintain control of this section of the front.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
