Berlin searching for Patriot systems from beyond NATO—Kuleba
Germany is looking for Patriot
air defense systems for Ukraine not only among NATO members but across the
globe, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on April 4.
During a press briefing following a Ukraine-NATO Council meeting, the Ukrainian minister said that Germany leads the international coalition for Ukraine's air defense.
"Germany, as the head of the air defense coalition, is now initiating an immediate analysis of all available Patriot batteries and other air defense systems, not just from [NATO] allies but globally, and what steps can be made to deliver these batteries to Ukraine," Ukrinform news agency quotes Kuleba.
He confirmed that the issue of reinforcing Ukraine's air defense was a key topic at the meeting.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
