Drone barrage hits Russian-occupied Donetsk

Explosions and partial blackouts in the Russian-occupied cities of Donetsk and Makiivka in Donetsk Oblast were reported by the Astra Telegram channel shortly after a massive drone attack around 11 p.m. EET on July 28.

Residents posted numerous videos of the air defense operation on social media.

According to preliminary reports, a power substation was damaged.

A large fire broke out in Donetsk’s Kuibyshevskyi district. 

One of the drones allegedly hit an apartment building in the Kyivskyi district. The Donbas Palace hotel was reportedly targeted as well.
