The UK Foreign Office says it is aware of recent reports of the discovery of the body of one of two British aid workers who went missing in the town of Soledar, Donetsk Oblast, the UK’s Sky News television news channel reported on Jan. 11.

Russia’s Wagner Group earlier claimed the body of one of the missing British aid workers in Ukraine had been found.

A statement on the Telegram messenger from the Russian mercenary group said documents belonging to both Britons had been found on the man’s body.

“We are supporting the families of two British men who have gone missing in Ukraine,” a spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office said.
