Cartel drones disrupt El Paso airport—CNN

Drones linked to a Mexican drug cartel entered U.S. airspace
near El Paso International Airport in Texas, triggering a brief shutdown of all
flights in the area, an unnamed U.S. official told
CNN on Feb. 11.
Although the initial closure notice was issued for 10 days, the airport resumed normal operations shortly afterwards, after the UAVs were “disabled.”
“The Department of War took action to disable the drones,” CNN quoted its source.
“The FAA and DOW have determined there is no threat to commercial travel.”
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the resumption
of normal service at El Paso but did not specify how many drones entered U.S.
airspace or what measures were used to disable them.
