Truck collides with bus carrying 15 passengers in Odesa, killing child

A truck collided with a passenger bus on the Kyiv-Odesa highway in the Berezivka district of Odesa Olbast on the morning of July 9, killing one person and injuring five others, the National Police reported.
The accident occurred near the village of Odai by Shyriaieve.
Investigation revealed that a MAN truck collided with a Mercedes minibus carrying 15 passengers at the time of the accident.
Updated at 11:23 a.m.: Regional governor Oleh Kiper stated that a 15-year-old child was killed in the accident. Nine others sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
Investigators and police are working at the scene of the incident. Traffic to Odesa has been partially blocked, law enforcement officials reported.
A passenger bus collided with a truck in Mykolaiv Oblast on July 4, killing 12 people and injuring six others.
Police reported searching for the driver of a Nissan Murano who may have been involved in the accident. He was served a notice of suspicion for traffic violations resulting in the deaths of several people, which carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
