Russian attacks hit energy infrastructure in Chernihiv Oblast, thousands without power

Russian forces struck energy infrastructure in Chernihiv Oblast, leaving more than 31,000 people without electricity, Chernihiv state energy company Chernihivoblenergo reported on May 14.
Energy workers will begin restoration work as soon as conditions are safe, the company said in a statement.
Russian forces conducted a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine, targeting Kyiv and dozens of other regions.
Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged in the attack on Kyiv.
Updated at of 7:30 a.m.: preliminary reports indicated that 31 people were injured, including a child. Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported one fatality.
Seven people were injured, including a child, following a Russian attack on Kyiv Oblast.
Two people were injured following a Russian attack on Odessa.
Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian forces carried out a prolonged drone attack on May 13, launching around 800 UAVs. The initial assault was followed by combined missile and drone strikes from 6 p.m. on May 13 and continuing into the morning of May 14.
Russia launched 56 missiles and 675 UAVs at Ukraine overnight.
Ukrainian Air Force shot down and neutralized 41 missiles and 652 enemy UAVs.
