Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation, operating along the pre-war contact line in Donbas, successfully repulsed 12 enemy attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts on May 17, the JFO's press center reported on Facebook.

The JFO stated that fighting continues at four more locations.

Over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed three tanks, three artillery systems (one of them MLRS), six armored units, and seven vehicles (including one truck with ammunition).

Air defense units shot down nine Orlan-10 reconnaissance drones and one ZALA operational-tactical UAV over government-controlled territory in the Donbas, the JFO added.

In total, the invaders shelled 45 settlements and destroyed and damaged 36 houses in the Donbas, as well as six industrial and farm enterprises, a supermarket, a sports academy, a dormitory, and a pharmacy.

"Eight civilians were killed and another four were injured (including an 8-year-old child) as a result of these attacks," the report says.

According to Ukraine's General Staff, about 28,000 Russian invaders have been killed since the beginning of the Russian full-scale war against Ukraine. The invaders have lost more than 8,000 pieces of military equipment.
