Russian forces carried out a large-scale Shahed drone attack on Odesa overnight on May 20, destroying a house and damaging several apartment buildings and cars, Odesa military governor Serhii Lysak reported.
Casualty toll is still being updated.
On May 18, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on residential areas in Odesa. One building caught fire after getting struck by a drone.
The attack also set fire to a building’s roof, attic, and upper floor apartments at a second location. Another house also caught fire.
A school and kindergarten were also damaged in the attack.
The strikes injured two people, including an 11-year-old child.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
