Drone debris sparks grass fire in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi Forest Park

Debris from a downed drone ignited a grass fire in Darnytskyi Forest Park, Desnyanskyi district, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko stated on Telegram on Aug. 17.

A small fire, quickly extinguished by forestry workers, caused no injuries.

On the morning of Aug. 17, explosions were reported in Kyiv, attributed to Air Defense Forces in Brovary.

That night, Russian forces launched several groups of Shahed drones at Ukraine, prompting air alerts in multiple oblasts, with air defense activity reported in Kyiv and explosions in Sumy.
