Drones attacked Russia’s Perm Krai on Oct. 25, hitting a chemical and metallurgical enterprise in Berezniki whose products are used in military aircraft, aircraft engines, missile systems and space technology, according to the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

The plant belongs to VSMPO-Avisma, the world’s largest titanium producer and a key supplier of the metal to companies in Russia’s military-industrial complex.

Perm Krai Gov. Dmitry Makhonin claimed the strike caused “minor damage” to an industrial facility in the north of the region. He said the site “continues to function normally.”

The governor also said 11 drones were shot down over the region.

Overnight into Oct. 25, drones also attacked other parts of Russia. In particular, central Belgorod came under attack, with houses and cars damaged in the city. There may also have been a hit on a local shopping center.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
