Drone swarms rock Russia’s south overnight
A series of explosions, the sounds of flying drones, and an air defense operation rocked the Russian administrative center of Rostov-on-Don and the port city of Taganrog overnight, local Telegram channels reported shortly after midnight on July 23.
The railway station in the nearby city of Novocherkassk was also targeted in the attack on Rostov Oblast.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that 51 drones had been allegedly shot down over Kursk, Bryansk, Rostov, Orel, Kaluga, Tula, and Lipetsk oblasts between 9 p.m. and midnight on July 22.
No official information has been provided on casualties or damage.
