Drones strike oil facilities in Russia’s Smolensk Oblast
Kamikaze drones attacked an oil refinery and gas distribution station in Russia’s Smolensk Oblast in the early hours of June 2, news outlet Baza reported on Telegram.
Around 2 a.m., a drone exploded at the Transneft station in the village of Peresna, Baza writes.The explosion damaged a fire extinguishing water tank.
30 minutes later, another drone attacked a gas distribution station in the village of Divasy, damaging an administrative building.
The day before, the Afipka oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai was attacked. According to early reports, a drone was spotted flying overhead.
One of the fuel oil distillation units caught fire, spreading over an area of 100 square meters.
On the same day, a drone struck the Ilsky refinery, marking the fourth such incident.
