EUCO head Costa to visit Kyiv on Ukraine’s Independence Day

European Council President Antonio Costa will attend a Coalition of the Willing meeting in Kyiv on Aug. 24, coinciding with Ukraine’s Independence Day, Costa’s press office confirmed on Aug. 21.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Sekerinska is expected to participate remotely, the alliance’s press office said earlier.

The meeting is being co-chaired by UK PM Andy Burnham, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The Élysée Palace said Macron will participate remotely.

A source in the Ukrainian President’s Office earlier told NV that Former U.S. special envoy Keith Kellogg and former Vice President Mike Pence will also by in Kyiv on the same day. They are expected to attend a prayer breakfast organized by Zelenskyy’s office.

The previous meeting of the Coalition of the Willing was held on July 13 in Paris.
