Explosions rock Kharkiv, housing damaged in Saltivskyi district during air raid alert

Explosions were heard in Kharkiv during an air raid alert, city mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on Telegram on April 23.

The Air Force reported the activity of enemy tactical aircraft in the northeastern direction and the threat of using air strikes on the frontline areas.

The attack resulted in one hit on the detached housing neighborhood of the city, damaging a car and a private house, Terekhov said. Information about the victims and the location of the other “hit” is being clarified.

Kharkiv regional governor, Oleh Synehubov, said that the Russians had attacked the suburbs in the Saltivskyi district of the city. The attack damaged a fence, windows, a house and a car. There are no reported casualties.

An air raid alert was declared earlier in many regions of Ukraine due to the threat of ballistic missile attacks. Explosions were heard in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhya.
