Explosions in Kyiv and Odesa apartments kill three
National Police
Two people were killed, and another was injured on Sept. 15 when a grenade detonated inside an apartment building in Kyiv’s Dnipro district, Ukraine’s National Police said.
The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. local time in a high-rise residential block, police said. Preliminary findings indicate that a hand grenade exploded inside one of the apartments. Investigators, explosives experts, and other emergency responders are working at the scene.
On the same day in Odesa, a 52-year-old man died after a grenade he was holding exploded inside his apartment, police said. His wife and a friend were nearby at the time but were not harmed.
On July 12 in Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, a village in the Kyiv region, a 42-year-old man summoned police on a domestic violence complaint and then threw a combat grenade toward the officers when they arrived. The police opened fire in response, killing the man at the scene.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
