Russia targets Kharkiv's critical infrastructure, massive fire erupts

Powerful explosions shook Kharkiv, sparking a major fire at an infrastructure facility, Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synehubov reported on July 24.

No casualties have been reported yet after the Russian missile strike.

Assessments and rescue operations are ongoing.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that Russian troops launched missile attacks on the infrastructure facility, resulting in a significant fire erupting.

Ukraine's Air Force warned of potential missile threats and Russia possibly deploying ballistic weapons in the eastern and southern Ukrainian oblasts.

Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with S-300 missiles, hitting an industrial zone and a residential area overnight on July 24, with one person reported killed.
