Series of powerful explosions were heard in Kharkiv

Several powerful explosions were heard in Kharkiv during the air raid alert in the oblast, reported by local Telegram channels on Feb. 17.

Prior to that, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the use of ballistic weapons in the eastern regions.

On Feb. 10, the Russians launched a drone strike on Kharkiv. Three drones hit an oil depot, causing a fuel leak that spread along the street with private houses, the houses ablaze. The fire completely destroyed more than ten residential buildings.

Also, a Russian drone attack on Kharkiv killed 35-year-old Olha Putyatina, her husband and three of their sons. The woman worked as a prosecutor in the Vovchansk department of the Chuhuiv District Prosecutor’s Office and was on maternity leave at the time of her death.

Another married couple also reportedly died.

Two women, aged 61 and 39, and a 45-year-old man were injured.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
