Strikes hit Sevastopol power substation, causing outages

Three strikes reportedly hit the main electrical substation in occupied Sevastopol, triggering a large fire and causing a power outage across parts of the city, according to eyewitness accounts cited by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel on June 24.
A thick column of black smoke was rising from the site and could be seen from a considerable distance, according to the report.
The facility involved is the Sevastopol substation, a 330/220/110/35-kV power hub that serves as a key component of the electricity network supplying the entire Sevastopol energy district.
According to available information, the city was left without electricity following the incident.
Drones targeted Russian-occupied Crimea overnight on June 24. A fire was reported near Kerch on the grounds of a military compound, while explosions were heard in several parts of the peninsula, including Simferopol and Sevastopol.
The attack was followed by widespread power outages in Sevastopol. Reports also suggested that the Balaklava thermal power plant and other infrastructure facilities may have been hit.
