At least four powerful explosions rocked Kyiv throughout the night of March 3, reports the Ukrinform news agency.

In particular, blasts were heard in the city center and near the Druzhby Narodiv metro station.

Kyivans took to social networks to report that the explosions were among the most powerful heard in the capital since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Many residents of the city saw their furniture shake due to shock waves caused by the blasts.

Clips of the explosions are being published on social networks and Telegram channels.

An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv at the time, local authorities reported. Residents were asked to go to shelters.

There was another explosion near the television tower in Kyiv on March 1. However, the Russian attack did not hit the tower directly, but impacted a neighboring building where the control room for the tower was located. Five people who were near a monument to the victims of the Nazi massacre at Babyn Yar were killed, as the TV tower is located next to the memorial park.
