Russian FSB conducts ‘counterterrorist operation’ in Dagestan
Russian FSB reported "counterterrorist operation" in cities of Makhachkala and Kaspiysk of Dagestan, allegedly blocking the "terrorists" in several residential areas, Russian state propagandist media reported on March 31.
Russians wrote that they had allegedly "received information about the whereabouts of armed individuals involved in terrorist activities."
Later, FSB reported that it had detained three people who allegedly planned to commit terrorist attacks. During searches of the detainee's apartments, "automatic weapons, ammunition and a ready-to-use IED were found."
In the afternoon, Head of Dagestan said that the terrorists were detained as part of the security measures taken after the terrorist attack in Moscow's Crocus City Hall.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
