Google helping Ukraine to develop Dii.Digital Education platform

Tech giant Google is to provide a $2 million grant and support from the Google.org Fellowship mentors for a digital education project in Ukraine, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reported on Telegram on Dec. 9.

The grant will be used to expand the Dii.Digital Education platform with the following:

  • Using of artificial intelligence to personalize learning plans;
  • Interactive simulators that make learning more realistic according to the chosen specialization;
  • Recommendations for refresher and advanced training;
  • Job proposals based on specialization and higher qualifications.

The Google.org grant also provides funds for the creation of an educational app, and the production of new educational series and projects.

The platform and other educational products will be translated into English.

Product managers, software engineers and marketing managers from Google will help scale-up the Diia.Digital Education project for six months for free.

Also, the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund has already given a third series of grants to another 25 Ukrainian companies.

They were provided not only with funding but also with mentor support, networking and technical assistance, as well as a working space in the Google for Startups Campus in Warsaw, Poland.
