Ukrainian intelligence raids Tendra Spit, wipes out Russian post
Operatives from the Active Operations Department of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) landed on Tendra Spit in the northern Black Sea and neutralized a Russian position overnight into July 28, the military intelligence reported on Telegram.
The operation eliminated Russian personnel, a Zont electronic warfare system, and a Rosa radar station.
“A daring landing: HUR special forces successfully conducted an operation on Tendra Spit,” the caption reads.
“The Ukrainian flag was raised over the island. The operation was completed without losses on our side.”
The operatives noted that the operation’s success was enabled by support from partners and donors contributing to the “Boats for HUR” project.
Tendra Spit is a narrow, 65-kilometer-long island, up to 1.8 kilometers wide, located in the northern Black Sea near the coast of Kherson Oblast.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
