Russian strike on Konotop in Sumy Oblast destroys five-story building

Russian forces carried out a large-scale drone attack on Konotop in Sumy Oblast overnight, partially destroying a five-story building, city mayor Artem Semenikhin reported on May 20.
“There are a lot of casualties, we still don’t know the exact number,” he said.
Three floors of a five-story building were destroyed by the attack.
The strikes also caused damage to the regional hospital and destroyed a museum.
On April 28, Russian forces launched drone strikes on Konotop, causing damage to the central hospital and several residential buildings.
On April 10, Russian drones struck downtown Konotop, causing fires to break out. A five-story building was hit, setting fire to apartments and cars. The attack caused damage to the city’s gas lines, leaving several high-rise buildings in the central district without gas.
