Ukraine's FM Kuleba stresses crucial need for air defense systems at frontlines
Ukraine could effectively protect its positions with enough air defense systems on the frontlines, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview with Politico on March 25.
“When Ukrainian troops are losing positions, let's look at the reason why,” Kuleba said.
“It is because Russia has begun to massively use upgraded aerial guided bombs.”
He explained that these bombs are weapons “you cannot escape from” if you’re the intended target.
“You cannot jam it," Kuleba said.
"It just falls on your head and destroys everything. This is how we're losing positions and the only way to prevent this is to shoot down the planes carrying the bombs.”
Ukraine needs air defense systems on the frontlines, Kuleba stated.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
