The next meeting of NATO heads of state and government will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania, in July 2023, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg wrote on Twitter on Nov. 9.

“I thank our valued ally Lithuania for hosting the 2023 NATO Summit in Vilnius on July 11-12 next year,” Stoltenberg tweeted.

“This will be an opportunity to further strengthen our alliance, step up support to Ukraine, and address key security matters at this critical time.”

NATO heads of state at the last NATO summit in Madrid, Spain on June 29 approved a new Strategic Concept for the alliance, in which they identified Russia as the “most significant and direct threat” to the allies’ security.
