During her Kyiv visit, MAGA influencer Laura
Loomer recorded an in-person interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr
Zelenskyy, Loomer announced on July 23.
“I just interviewed President Zelenskyy at Mariinsky Palace in Ukraine,” she wrote in a Twitter post.
“No questions were off limits and I didn’t pull any punches. Full interview coming soon!”
On July 20, Loomer, known for her far-right views, promotion of conspiracy theories, and for spreading Russian narratives about the war in Ukraine, posted a video of her arrival in Kyiv on Twitter with the caption, “I'm not in Russia because I'm not a propagandist.”
Loomer has recently said she was influenced for years by
Russian propaganda about the Russo–Ukrainian war. She told followers she came
to Ukraine to verify claims she had previously heard online. “I am going to try
to find evidence for the propaganda I’ve been fed, and if I don’t find it, I
will let everyone know so they too can come to see the light,” she wrote.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
