Admiral Rob Bauer, the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, announced that the Alliance will increase supplies of modern weapons to Ukraine, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Sept. 17.

"The Alliance has generally agreed to provide non-lethal assistance to Ukraine, but NATO states independently provide military assistance to Ukraine, including the supply of weapons,” he noted.

“Thus, over time, Ukraine gets more and more new weapons.”

Bauer stated that at a meeting of the chiefs-of-staff of the armed forces of NATO members in Tallinn, the military leaders discussed the issue of support for Ukraine, as well as improving the effectiveness of the defense of NATO’s eastern members.
