Ukraine has begun producing new high-explosive aerial munitions for the Defense Forces, Ukrainian defense plant Mayak reported on its Facebook page on April 2.

These fragmentation munitions are specially designed for drones and include two types of ammunition:

  • OBP-23.1 weighing 1 kilogram, with an 11-meter radius guaranteed kill zone
  • OBP-23.05 weighing 0.5 kilograms, with a 4.5-meter radius guaranteed kill zone

Earlier, Ukroboronprom announced that it had started production of a third type of ammunition — 122 mm artillery shells.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
