Next Ramstein-format meeting set for Dec. 16

The next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the
Ramstein format will take place on Dec. 16, Germany’s Defense Ministry told Suspilne.
This time, the summit will be held in a virtual format under
the joint chairmanship of Germany and the United Kingdom. Journalists will have
access to the opening remarks delivered by the defense ministers of Germany,
the UK, and Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal previously announced
that the next Ramstein meeting would be held on Dec. 3.
The most recent meeting of the Contact Group took place on
Oct. 15 and marked the 31st session. The 30th summit was held in London in
early September.
On Dec. 11, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that under
the PURL program, Ukraine expects to receive weapons packages worth $15 billion
to $16 billion in 2026.
On Dec. 3, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide
announced that his government had approved an additional $500 million in
support for the PURL program.
On Dec. 5, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha
said 21 countries had joined the PURL program, under which NATO states purchase
U.S.-made weapons for Ukraine.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
