Russian drone shot down near Starokostiantyniv, official says
A Russian Shahed one-way attack drone flying toward Starokostiantyniv in Ukraine's western Khmelnytskyi Oblast was shot down, regional governor Serhii Tyurin wrote on Telegram on Sept. 12, shortly after a series of explosions were reported on local social media.
“There is no damage or casualties,” he said, adding that a total of 11 enemy drones had been intercepted in the oblast over the past day.
This follows Tyurin's report earlier in the day that a fire had broken out at a furniture warehouse in Khmelnytskyi Oblast after an overnight attack by a Russian Shahed drone.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian troops fired two Iskander ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 cruise missile, two Kh-22/32 cruise missiles and launched 65 Shahed drones in the overnight attack on Ukraine. In total, 44 drones were intercepted.
