Power outages hit several districts of Khmelnytskyi, particularly the southwestern part of the city, after a massive Russian drone and missile attack, public broadcaster Suspilne reported early on Dec. 23.
Numerous explosions and air defenses operations were heard throughout the city overnight and into the morning.
According to regional Governor Serhiy Tyurin, at least one person was killed.
The enemy’s air assault began overnight with hundreds of attack drones launched from multiple locations across Russia, followed in the early morning hours by dozens of cruise missiles fired from Russian strategic aircraft.
Earlier in the day, the Energy Ministry reported that Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was the focus of another massive drone and missile attack. This has prompted emergency power outages in several oblasts.
