NV subjected to powerful DDoS attack
This morning, the website NV.ua, one of the largest online media resources in Ukraine, was subjected to a powerful hacking attack acting in the interests of the Russian Federation, the aggressor country.
As a result of the attack, which began between 8 and 9 am, the website was temporarily unavailable.
Our technical support is doing its best to restore the normal operation of the resource.
We will continue to cover the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the crimes of the Putin regime on the territory of a sovereign European state in full, as we have done since the start of the war.
While some of our journalists have joined the ranks of the territorial defense, the rest have been covering developments in Ukraine around the clock this entire time.
Dozens of reporters and editors produce news for the website from the comfort of a bunker, and distribute it on social networks. Others are live non-stop on Radio NV. We are now read and listened to by millions of people in Ukraine and beyond. Our English version of the website is read in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Poland and many other countries. For many of them, we have become one of the prime sources of information about the war.
At the same time, advertising revenue – the main source of media funding in Ukraine – has now gone down in flames, and it's getting harder for us to do our job.
We appeal to international donors and foreign organizations to support our work and help us continue to provide up-to-date and objective information about the war 24/7.
