A passenger was killed and several others injured in a crash involving a minibus and a shuttle bus in Odesa, regional police said on Apr. 7.
Authorities said the crash occurred in the morning on Balkivska Street. Preliminary findings indicate that a minibus (route taxi) and a van were traveling in the same direction when the collision occurred.
As a result of the accident, one female passenger was killed, and several others sustained injuries of varying severity, police said. The number of injured is being clarified, they added.
Law enforcement officials stressed that the drivers of both vehicles will be tested for intoxication, and a legal classification of the incident will be determined after all circumstances are established.
They also noted that traffic in the area is partially disrupted, urging drivers to take this into account when planning routes and to follow traffic rules.
