Odesa explosion injures seven

At least five law enforcement officers and two civilians were injured in an explosion on the streets of Odesa, Ukrainian National Police reported on Dec. 2.
According to eyewitness reports, a grenade went off at the intersection of Prokhorovska and Myasoidivska streets, at around 16:30 p.m. Local news outlet Dumska said the incident occurred at the parking lot of the local State Emergency Service office.
Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne later reported that some policemen sustained injuries shrapnel injuries, with two officers in critical condition.
The police subsequently said that a police patrol stopped a Dodge car and noticed an explosive device in the trunk. The item exploded by the time police detectives arrived at the scene.
Law enforcement and paramedics are still working on site.
