Russia launched a massive missile attack against Ukraine on the morning of Dec. 29, Air Force Command reported on Facebook on Dec. 29.

In addition, the Air Force noted that Russian military aviation was highly active that same morning.
UPDATE: According to Ukraine's top general Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, Russian forces fired 69 missiles against Ukraine.
In a tweet, presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak stated that over 120 missiles had been fired at Ukrainian targets throughout the country.
“More than 120 missiles have been fired over the entire Ukraine by the evil “Russian world” to destroy critical infrastructure and kill civilians en masse,” Podolyak wrote.
“We are waiting for the next proposals from the ‘peacekeepers’ about ‘peaceful settlement’, ‘security guarantees for Russia’ and about the undesirability of provocations..."
Explosions have been reported throughout the country, likely as a result of the strikes, including in Kyiv and Lviv.
