Partial power outage in Khmelnytskyi Oblast after drone attack
As a result of a Russian attack by Shahed drones on the
night of Oct. 26, a partial power outage occurred in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. A
hotel and windows in two buildings were damaged, reported the regional governor Serhiy
Tyurin.
According to him, power is partially out in four localities
in the oblast, including Khmelnytskyi. Energy workers are currently working to
restore electricity.
Overall, air defense forces shot down eight Shahed-type
drones over the region. There were no casualties, Tyurin added.
Earlier, on the morning of Oct. 26, monitoring channels
reported explosions in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
In the evening of Oct. 25, one
of the drones struck a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv,
causing a fire and resulting in the death of a child, with six people
injured. In
Kyiv Oblast, a woman was killed and a 13-year-old boy was injured during
the nighttime attack, which also caused fires in two districts.
Additionally, it is known that the Russians attacked Dnipro with ballistic missiles, resulting in three deaths and 20 injuries. Several buildings and the Mechnikov Hospital were damaged in the city.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
