Kremlin shrugs off Carlson's US plot against Putin speculation
The Kremlin commented on American blogger and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s claim that the US President Joe Biden administration had attempted to assassinate Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, the TASS propaganda agency reported on Jan. 28.
“Russia's special services consistently take all necessary measures to ensure public safety and the security of those under state protection, especially the head of state,” Putin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
Carlson made his claim about the alleged assassination attempt in an interview with journalist Matt Taibbi posted on YouTube on Jan. 27, suggesting that the Biden administration reportedly tried to provoke chaos in the war before Donald Trump took the office. He provided no evidence to support his claim.
