Pope Leo XIV urges prayer for Ukraine amid Russian attacks
Pope Leo XIV responded to the latest Russian attacks on Ukraine. expressing his deep concern over the large-scale assaults, especially noting the suffering of children and their families, in a statement on X on May 28.
In his address, the pontiff assured of his prayers for all those affected and reiterated his call for an end to the war, emphasizing the need for dialogue and peace.
"I strongly reiterate my appeal to end the war and to support every initiative for dialogue and peace," the Pope said.
He also called on everyone to pray for Ukraine and all regions where war brings suffering.
