Prosecutor General’s Office opens war crime investigation over drone attacks on Odesa Oblast
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office has launched a war crimes investigation following a Russian attack on civilian infrastructure in southern Odesa Oblast during the night of Sept. 13, releasing a statement accompanied by photographs depicting the aftermath of the assault.
"For nearly five hours, the aggressors targeted Ukrainian territory along the Danube, inflicting significant damage to a seaport and civilian infrastructure facilities, as well as a parking area for freight transport," the office said.
"Seven individuals sustained injuries, including a local resident and six drivers, one of whom is in critical condition. All of them have received medical attention."
This incident has prompted an investigation under the charge of violating the laws and customs of war.
Throughout the night, Russia deployed a total of 44 Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones, with air defense forces managing to destroy 32.
