Russia: No new meeting with U.S. envoy in sight

There is currently no set date for the next meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin told Russian propaganda media on Dec. 5.
No "agreement has been reached on the date of the next meeting" or a phone call between the two leaders.
According to Ushakov, Moscow is now waiting for Washington’s response to the outcome of the Dec. 2 negotiations.
On Dec. 2, Putin met with Witkoff and Kushner at the Kremlin for what Russian media described as a five-hour meeting, although the Russian dictator reportedly arrived about two and a half hours late. The talks focused on proposals to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, based on a peace plan developed during discussions between Ukrainian and American delegations in Florida on Nov. 30.
Ushakov later said that no breakthrough had been reached on the proposed peace plan yet.
