Rocket attack on Kyiv's Podil district: at least 8 casualties
A missile strike on Kyiv’s Podil district on the night of March 20 killed eight people, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office reported on March 21.
At the same time, this information may not be completely accurate, as casualty counts and data is still coming in.
The strike destroyed the Retroville shopping mall in the Vynohradar neighborhood, with the blast and subsequent fire causing windows in nearby residential buildings, and parked cars, to also suffer damage.
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office has launched an investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war, involving premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The article provides for the imprisonment of a guilty suspect for a term of ten to fifteen years, or life imprisonment.
