Russia targets Kyiv infrastructure in drone and missile attack

Russian forces are attempting to strike critical infrastructure in Kyiv and the surrounding region with attack drones and a potential ballistic missile threat on the morning of March 16, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, reported on Telegram.
“The enemy is targeting infrastructure in Kyiv Oblast and Kyiv [city],” Kovalenko wrote.
Ukraine’s Air Force warned of a group of attack drones and a missile danger to the capital and oblast, with air defenses active.
Multiple explosions were heard in Kyiv early on March 16. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported debris from downed targets falling in the city center.
