Russian attempts to intimidate Ukrainians are bound to fail, says NSDC secretary Danilov

Russia's attempts to intimidate Ukrainians by threatening an "adequate response” after Ukraine was reported to have received long-range Storm Shadow missiles is just them "talking to themselves”, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said on Facebook on May 12.

"Everything Putin could have used, he has used," Danilov stated.

“And for Russia, the worst is just beginning. Russia without Western developments and investments is a fake country. Russians will have many a ‘pleasant’ encounter with advanced technologies ahead... and it will not be smartphones.”

Earlier, the Kremlin promised an "adequate response" to the long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles that the United Kingdom is sending to Ukraine. Russian authorities have habitually made such threats after nearly every announcement of arms deliveries to the Ukrainian military, but have been unable to advance past the town of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast for since August 2022.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
