Russia claims overnight attack by 28 Ukrainian drones
Russia’s Defense Ministry (MoD) alleged that Russia was attacked by 28 “Ukrainian drones” in a nighttime attack on Oct. 18, with the MoD claiming that all 28 were shot down by air defense.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov alleged that Russian air defenses managed to intercept six drones.
"In Belgorod Oblast and Yakovlevsky city district, the air defense system reportedly downed six aircraft type UAVs (unmanned aerial drones – ed.) … Operational services are clarifying information about the consequences on the ground."
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage, announced Gladkov.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
