Russian forces launched 82 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of attack drones at Ukraine overnight, the Air Force reported on Telegram on Dec. 18.
As of 8:30 a.m. EET, Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups had shot down or suppressed 63 enemy air targets.
Nineteen drones targeted 12 sites across the country. Eight other sites reported damage from downed drones.
The enemy air assault is ongoing, with several drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
