Russia launches over 60 missiles; Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih report hits

On the morning of Dec. 16, Russia carried out a new mass missile strike on Ukraine; about 60 missiles have been launched, Mykolaiv Oblast Governor Vitalii Kim reported on Telegram.
Air-raid sirens were activated across all Ukraine, including Kyiv.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko confirmed the explosions in Desnyansky, Dniprovsky and Holosiyivsky districts of the capital city. Kharkiv was completely cut off the power as a result of the attack; a residential building in Kryvyi Rih was hit.

"As power facilities were damaged in several regions of Ukraine, emergency power cuts have been introduced throughout the country," Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kyrylo Tymoshenko said. He asked Ukrainians "to treat with understanding the power outages and temporary decreases in water/heat supply."
