Russia prepares false flag provocation at ZNPP – Ukrainian intelligence
Russian forces are planning a false flag
attack at the Zaporizhzhya
Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), involving the use of heavy artillery, Ukrainian
Military Intelligence said in a Telegram post on July 19.
The report states that the Russia’s FSB “military counterintelligence department” has been disseminating information to their troops about an alleged impending attack on the plant by Ukrainian forces.
Russian special services suggest that the "attack" will take place in late July, involving Ukrainian assault groups and unspecified "volunteer units". The spread of such information could be indicative of a false flag operation in progress, potentially leading to a large-scale accident at the ZNPP. The report also notes that simulated firings are being planned, seemingly to place the blame on Ukraine.
On July 16, Ukrainian Military Intelligence spokesman Andriy Yusov stated that the threat of a Russian sabotage operation on the ZNPP remains, as long as Moscow’s forces occupy the facility.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
