Russian forces shell Sumy Oblast with mortars and artillery

Invading Russian forces shelled areas in Sumy Oblast close to the border with Russia, Sumy regional governor Dmytro Zhyvytskyi reported on Telegram on Dec. 5.
In the morning, Russian troops shelled the area near the settlement of Bilopilsk with mortars, the governor said. 23 hits and damage to the electrical grid were reported.
Also, two hits were reported in the vicinity of Velyka Pysarivka settlement.
30 shells were launched towards Nova Sloboda District.
The consequences of the shelling are being clarified, the governor added.
